Sunday Lunches

The accounts of Jesus in the Gospels show us that hospitality and sharing times around the meal table was a feature of his life and through that lives were changed. The New Testament Church continued the practice of eating in each other’s homes- the fore-runner of church buildings.

We believe that there is tremendous benefit in gathering together and inviting our friends to share in a meal together and so on a regular basis we have Sunday meal services. The usual programme is:

  • 11.00am Coffee in the cafe
  • 11.30am Accessible church service
  • 12.30pm Meal, followed by coffee. Our home-made desserts are legendary!

These services are generally:

  • February to celebrate the Church anniversary
  • Easter (but avoiding Easter Sunday)
  • Summer afternoon tea
  • Late Summer -August/September
  • Harvest-Early October
  • Advent
