What We Believe
We believe that it is only through our faith in Jesus Christ that we are able to receive God’s promises of forgiveness, freedom and hope for the future – no matter what our past.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by him through human authors, and is true and reliable. The Bible’s message – the good news of Jesus Christ – is important and relevant today.
We believe that all men and women have equal dignity and worth because we are created in the image of God. But since the fall, all men and women have been guilty of sin and therefore deserve God’s condemnation or punishment. Because of God’s love and grace, he has offered us forgiveness from our sins because Jesus Christ took the punishment we deserve. We cannot earn God’s forgiveness, but if we believe in Jesus Christ, we are made right with God through our faith alone, and he promises us eternal life.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will one day return in glory, as the Bible teaches. He will judge the world and the wicked will be sent to eternal punishment and the righteous will be welcomed into a life of eternal joy in fellowship with God.
What does the Bible say?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3 v16
…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3 v23-24
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… John 1 v12
